We believe in collecting only what is necessary. MotivGo limits data collection to the minimum required to provide you with a great experience.

We collect the following information from you:

• Name — used to personalise your in-app experience.
• Email address — used for account creation, authentication, and support communication.

All other app data — including your goals, occurrences, streaks, habits, and settings — is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.

2 How We Use Your Information

We use the name and email address you provide solely for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your MotivGo account.
• To authenticate your identity when you log in.
• To send important service-related updates and notifications about MotivGo.
• To respond to your support requests, feedback, or enquiries.
• To notify you of significant changes to the App or this Privacy Policy.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is stated above.

3 Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.

We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Trusted service providers — we may share data with carefully vetted third-party service providers who assist in operating the App (e.g. authentication, cloud infrastructure), under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Business transfer — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this occurs.

4 Local Data Storage

MotivGo is built with an offline-first approach. The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never uploaded to our servers:

• Your goals and goal settings.
• Daily occurrences and completion history.
• Habit streaks and best streak records.
• Life pillar preferences and motivational style settings.
• Notification and alarm preferences.

5 Your Choices

You have control over your personal data. You can:

• Update your account information — edit your name or email address at any time via the Profile section of the App.
• Delete your account — request full account deletion by contacting us at privacy@motivego.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
• Opt out of emails — unsubscribe from promotional or non-essential emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.
• Access your data — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time by contacting us.

6 Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include:

• Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS protocols.
• Secure server infrastructure with access controls.
• Regular security reviews of our systems and processes.
• Limited employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7 Children's Privacy

MotivGo is not directed at or intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at privacy@motivego.com. We will take prompt steps to remove such information from our records.

8 Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law.

• Account data (name and email) is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services.
• Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
• Locally stored app data is deleted automatically when you uninstall the App.

9 Third-Party Services

MotivGo integrates with the following third-party services to operate effectively. Each service has its own privacy policy governing their use of data:

• Apple App Store / Google Play Store — subscription and purchase management. Subject to Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase management. MotivGo does not store payment information directly.
• Push notification services — used to deliver goal reminders and motivational alarms to your device.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies directly.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will:

• Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
• Display an in-app notification informing you of the update.
• Send a notification to your registered email address for material changes.

Your continued use of MotivGo following any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
